We are now looking to welcome a passionate, analytical, and self-motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our team remotely. If you thrive on uncovering patterns, turning raw data into actionable insights, and working in a flexible online environment, this role is for you.

What You Will Do

As a Data Analyst Intern at INLIGHN TECH, you will:

• Work with real datasets (internal or external) to clean, transform, and analyse information in support of business decisions.

• Develop dashboards, reports and visualisations to communicate findings to stakeholders (both technical and non-technical).

• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to our education/learning programs and track trends over time.

• Assist in designing and performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to extract insights and patterns.

• Support the team in hypothesis testing, segmenting data, and generating actionable recommendations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., content, marketing, operations) to understand data needs and deliver insights.

• Document your work: specify data sources, methodology, assumptions, and present results clearly.

• Learn new tools and techniques under the guidance of mentors, and gradually take more ownership of tasks.

What We’re Looking For

Must-have skills & attributes:

• Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics or a closely related field.

• Familiar with basic data analysis tools and methods: e.g., Excel (pivot tables, filters), SQL (select, join, aggregate), and ideally one scripting language (Python/R) for data manipulation.

• Basic understanding of data visualisation principles and tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib/seaborn, etc.).

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy—someone who enjoys working with numbers, spotting trends and asking “why”.

• Excellent communication skills: able to present results clearly, verbally and in writing, for varied audiences.

• Self-motivated, proactive, comfortable working remotely in a virtual environment, managing your own time and meeting deadlines.

• Willingness to learn and adapt: We believe in mentoring, experimentation, and growth.

Nice-to-have skills & experiences:

• Experience with statistical techniques (regression, clustering, hypothesis testing) or machine-learning basics.

• Experience with any cloud/data-warehouse/Big Data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake).

• Prior internship or project experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.

• Knowledge of the EdTech / online learning domain, and interest in how data can improve learning outcomes.

Internship Details

• Duration: Typically 2-3 months (flexible depending on availability and performance)

• Commitment: Approximately 10-20 hours/week (can be adjusted for full-time if mutually agreed)

• Compensation: This is an internship role and may be unpaid or modestly stipend-based depending on location/time commitment. Please enquire during the application process.
