Job Summary
RemoteJobHiring.com is featuring a high-impact AWS DevOps Engineer (Remote) opportunity with a Series A–funded California-based SaaS company, hired through Uplers. This role is ideal for DevOps professionals with hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure, Terraform automation, containerized workloads, and Python scripting, who are looking for a stable, long-term remote position.
You will play a critical role in building, securing, and scaling cloud environments while supporting CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.
Key Responsibilities

Design and provision AWS infrastructure using Terraform modules

Deploy and manage services on ECS (Fargate), AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFront
-
Implement monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
-
Enforce AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, Config rules, Security Hub, WAF, and SOC2 controls

Develop Python scripts to automate infrastructure and operational workflows

Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)

Troubleshoot production issues across containers, networking, and serverless systems
Required Skills & Experience

2 to 4+ years of DevOps experience with strong AWS fundamentals

Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible

Strong knowledge of AWS services: ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, IAM, VPC

Good understanding of cloud security and SOC2 readiness

Proficiency in Python scripting for automation

Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps workflows

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog
Nice to Have

Experience with EKS, AWS Step Functions, or Secrets Manager

AWS Certifications (Associate or Professional)
