Position Summary – Business Analyst

IMA360 is looking for a Business Analyst with a strong accounting or finance background who can act as the bridge between client business processes and the company’s software platform.

In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand financial workflows and translate them into system configurations and functional requirements. Knowledge of accruals, journal entries, revenue recognition, and cost accounting will help you quickly adapt to the IMA360 platform and manage complex rebate and pricing scenarios.

Key Responsibilities – Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements related to B2B rebates, chargebacks, and pricing agreements.

  • Mapping existing client workflows into the IMA360 software platform.

  • Configuring and testing rebate programs, pricing rules, chargeback workflows, and accrual calculations.

  • Developing functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and user stories for development and QA teams.

  • Acting as a subject matter expert on accounting-related aspects of rebate management.

  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by creating test plans and managing defect resolution.

  • Providing client training and onboarding support during implementation.

  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and optimization opportunities.

  • Collaborating with the product team to improve the platform through client feedback.

  • Maintaining documentation such as process guides, configuration manuals, and best-practice templates.

Required Qualifications – Business Analyst

Candidates applying for this role should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5–7 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related analytical roles

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as:

    • Accruals

    • Journal entries

    • Accounts payable/receivable

    • Revenue recognition

    • General ledger concepts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to translate complex financial processes into clear documentation and requirements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms

Preferred Qualifications – Business Analyst

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA

  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite

  • Familiarity with B2B rebate programs, distributor chargebacks, or special pricing agreements

  • Knowledge of gross-to-net processes in manufacturing or distribution industries

  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Implementation Consultant, or Solutions Consultant

  • Understanding of EDI transactions (867, 845, 844, 849) related to pricing and chargebacks
