Job Summary

As a Data Analyst at Cision, you will play a pivotal role in generating, analyzing, and managing data that fuels the company’s reports and insights. You’ll ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in data processes while contributing to the design and execution of strategic reporting solutions.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with senior analysts and team leads to support deliverables that drive impactful decision-making across the organization. If you are passionate about data, analytics, and communication technology, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality data production aligned with strict delivery timelines.

  • Track team performance, enforce standards, and manage priorities to meet project deadlines.

  • Oversee and guide junior coding teams — provide feedback, identify skill gaps, and promote continuous improvement.

  • Manage content searches, upload processes, and perform regular data checks to maintain data accuracy.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to data flow, tools, or reporting and resolve them efficiently.

  • Utilize reporting templates and visualization tools to generate charts, graphs, and insights for client-facing reports.

  • Support report creation by assisting in data exports, analysis, and qualitative insight generation.

  • Collaborate daily with senior analysts and leads, assisting with data verification, contact management, and analytics production.

  • Maintain open communication with managers to prioritize tasks, address workflow bottlenecks, and deliver actionable outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, statistics, communications, or related fields.

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in data coding, query writing, and analytical reporting.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and data presentation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of SQL or similar query languages for data extraction and manipulation.

  • Experience with reporting tools and data visualization platforms.

  • A strong eye for detail and the ability to identify trends and anomalies in datasets.

  • Excellent storytelling ability — turning raw data into meaningful business insights.

  • A proactive mindset, with a passion for learning new technologies and analytical methods.
