Role Overview

The Data Analyst – BangDB will work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to translate data into actionable insights. You will analyse structured and unstructured data, build dashboards, generate predictive indicators, and support decision-making across internal and client-facing projects.

This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with tools like SQL, Python, and visualization platforms, and a solid understanding of data workflows. Hybrid work flexibility allows you to collaborate onsite when needed while enjoying the benefits of remote work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Collection & Analysis

  • Collect, organise, and interpret large datasets using BangDB’s advanced platform.

  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and correlations.

  • Clean and preprocess raw data for modelling and reporting.

2. Reporting & Dashboard Creation

  • Build real-time dashboards using BI tools and internal visualization frameworks.

  • Create weekly and monthly analytics reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Present insights in clear, concise formats for decision-making.

3. Business Insights & Strategy Support

  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and data needs.

  • Translate analytical findings into recommendations that improve product performance.

  • Support forecasting, risk assessments, and performance tracking.

4. Data Quality & Documentation

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data pipelines.

  • Maintain documentation of scripts, processes, and key metrics.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on data validation and quality checks.

5. Advanced Analytics & ML Support

  • Assist in building predictive models and machine learning experiments.

  • Evaluate model performance and surface insights to improve accuracy.

  • Use statistical techniques to support hypothesis testing and scenario analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent.

  • Understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data pipelines.

  • Hands-on experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Functions).

  • Basic understanding of AI/ML workflows is a plus.

Professional Skills

  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present non-technical insights clearly.

  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.

  • Familiarity with real-time databases or streaming platforms like Kafka, Spark, Flink, or BangDB’s native tools.

  • Experience in big data environments or AI-driven platforms.

  • Prior experience in tech startups or enterprise data teams.
