🎯 Role Overview – Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will support the Regulatory Strategy & Operations (RSO) team. This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, automation, and regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for preparing, validating, and automating critical regulatory filings while ensuring high data accuracy and compliance with U.S. reporting standards.

📊 Regulatory Filings You’ll Support

  • HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act)

  • NMLS MCR (Mortgage Call Reports)

  • Other state and federal regulatory reporting requirements

🛠️ Key Responsibilities – Data Analyst

1️⃣ Data Preparation & Validation

  • End-to-end preparation of HMDA LAR and NMLS MCR filings

  • Perform detailed validation checks before submission

2️⃣ SQL Query Development

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries

  • Work with large datasets

  • Use joins, window functions, aggregations, and performance tuning

3️⃣ Automation Using Python

  • Develop scripts for automated data validation

  • Build logic for field-level calculations

  • Reduce manual reporting effort

4️⃣ Regulatory Testing & Reconciliation

  • Perform field-level testing

  • Conduct variance analysis

  • Reconcile datasets across reporting systems

5️⃣ Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with U.S.-based compliance teams

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations

  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory submissions

6️⃣ Root Cause Analysis & Remediation

  • Identify inconsistencies in regulatory data

  • Analyze root causes

  • Implement corrective solutions

7️⃣ Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain structured documentation

  • Define data logic and transformation frameworks

  • Ensure audit readiness

8️⃣ Dashboard & Reporting

  • Build dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

  • Track key regulatory metrics

  • Provide insights to stakeholders

🎓 Required Qualifications – Data Analyst

📚 Education

Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Data Analytics

  • Statistics

  • Mathematics

  • Economics

  • Computer Science

  • Or related field

💼 Experience

  • 3–4 years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role

💻 Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL expertise

  • Python for data analysis and automation

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)

🤝 Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
