Role overview

We’re looking for a experienced Freelance Data Analyst Specialist to join Winfrox on a contract basis. You’ll work remotely with our product and client teams to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights. This role suits a self-starter who enjoys end-to-end analysis: from data cleaning and modelling through to dashboarding and stakeholder presentations.

Key responsibilities

  • Collect, clean and validate datasets from multiple sources.

  • Build repeatable ETL processes and maintain data integrity.

  • Analyse data to identify trends, anomalies and business opportunities.

  • Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations (Power BI / Tableau / Looker).

  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for product, sales and leadership teams.

  • Translate analytical findings into clear, non-technical recommendations.

  • Collaborate with engineers to implement tracking and data pipelines.

  • Estimate work, manage priorities and deliver to agreed deadlines.

Required skills & experience

  • 2+ years’ experience as a data analyst, business intelligence analyst, or similar.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with databases (Redshift, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, etc.).

  • Proficiency in a scripting language for analysis (Python or R).

  • Solid experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or Looker.

  • Comfortable with data modelling and basic statistics.

  • Excellent communication — able to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time and meet contractual milestones.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern ETL tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran).

  • Background working with product/marketing analytics or SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, LTV).
