As a Senior Business Analyst at Stratus, you will play a critical role in understanding business processes, analyzing domain requirements, and translating them into functional and system-level documentation. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, development teams, and mainframe leads to support system enhancements and modernization initiatives.

📌 Key Responsibilities – Senior Business Analyst

📊 Business & Domain Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to:

  • Forms content and trigger logic

  • Legacy system functionality

• Extract requirements from existing legacy systems and document them clearly for development and QA teams

• Translate business needs into functional and system requirements for mainframe-based applications

• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and feasibility studies for proposed system changes

• Understand and incorporate regulatory and compliance requirements such as ISO, NAIC, SOX, GDPR, and other applicable standards

🖥️ Mainframe & Technical Collaboration

• Work closely with mainframe leads and development teams to understand current systems and integrations

• Analyze legacy environments including:

  • COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS

  • Data flows, batch jobs, and online transactions

• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including:

  • Business Requirement Documents (BRD)

  • Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)

  • Use cases and process flow diagrams

  • Data mapping documents

• Support system modernization or migration initiatives, including mainframe-to-distributed or cloud transformations

🤝 Stakeholder & Agile Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on requirements

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support iterative delivery models
