About the Role: Data Specialist

As a Data Specialist at YipitData, you’ll be a key contributor to our data products that serve institutional investors and global clients. This role blends data analysis, programming, and business intelligence, offering a rare opportunity to grow at the intersection of data, technology, and finance.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and insightfulness of our data outputs — helping our clients make better decisions faster.

This is a fully remote role based in India, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM IST.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience in:

🔹 Data & Analysis

  • Work with large, complex datasets to extract meaningful trends and performance insights on global companies.

  • Apply proprietary data processing techniques to ensure precision, accuracy, and reliability.

  • Learn to identify and interpret data anomalies, outliers, and business signals that matter.

🔹 Programming & Automation

  • Use and expand your Python and SQL skills to manage and optimize data workflows.

  • Automate repetitive processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to enhance data pipelines and reporting infrastructure.

🔹 Investment Insights

  • Produce high-quality data reports used by top-tier institutional investors and global funds.

  • Gain exposure to financial analysis, learning how investors think about company performance and growth metrics.

  • Understand how alternative data translates into actionable investment insights.

Who You Are

You’re likely to succeed in this role if you:

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

  • Enjoy working with data, uncovering patterns, and optimizing workflows.

  • Are eager to learn coding or strengthen your existing Python/SQL skills.

  • Communicate clearly and confidently in English (and Mandarin is a plus).

  • Strive for efficiency, precision, and excellence in your work.

  • Can manage multiple priorities with discipline and organization.

This role is open to professionals with 2+ years of relevant experience, but motivated recent graduates with strong analytical skills are also encouraged to apply.
