About the Role – Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst – Web Scraping, you will manage the request lifecycle from start to finish. This includes understanding client requirements, translating them into technical specifications, validating datasets, and ensuring the delivery of accurate and reliable data products.

You will serve as the key link between investment teams, clients, and engineering teams, ensuring that data scraping workflows produce valuable insights that support investment strategies.

This is a high-impact role that combines client communication, data validation, and process improvement while giving you exposure to multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities – Business Analyst

1. Own the Request Process

  • Engage with end users and investment teams to gather and document web scraping requirements.

  • Translate business needs into clear technical specifications for developers.

  • Develop execution plans to help engineers deliver optimal results.

  • Review and approve scraped datasets before final delivery to clients.

2. Enhance Deliverables

  • Use SQL and reporting tools to generate custom datasets and enriched data products.

  • Perform quality control (QC) checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

  • Improve reporting and dataset usability for client teams.

3. Improve KPIs and Quality Assurance

  • Create and implement KPIs and QA processes to monitor scraping performance.

  • Contribute to building tools, scripts, and workflows that increase efficiency.

  • Document processes and create reusable resources for requirement gathering and validation.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues.

  • Provide feedback to improve scraping strategies, formats, and delivery methods.

  • Support continuous improvements in analytics and data workflows.

Requirements – Business Analyst

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Investment Data Analyst.

  • Strong experience working with SQL and data analysis.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Web Scraping.

  • Knowledge of Python.

  • Advanced SQL skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with international clients and stakeholders.

Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset and passion for working with data.

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable insights.

Project & Collaboration Skills

  • Knowledge of project management tools is highly desirable.
